Danielle Newton, farmer, wife, mother of 3, and owner of Be Brave Yoga is an E-500hr RYT, Meditation Instructor, Kirtan Leader, and Y12SR facilitator. Danielle has been practicing Yoga since 2008 and started her teaching career in 2015. She came to Yoga seeking relief from chronic pain and arthritis in her early twenties. What was even more astonishing than the practice leaving her feeling pain free and improving her mobility, is that the practice spoke to her spirit like nothing ever had before. Diving into yoga as a complete system and not just a physical exercise has led her to meet some of the most amazing and inspirational people while completely transforming her life. She uses the practice to spread inspiration to others through uplifting classes and heart filled Kirtan. Danielle continues to study the art of Yoga and is passionate about supporting others in their yoga journey and giving back to her community.

Stemming from blood roots from Thailand and India, a yogic life has always been present. After spending many of her earlier years exploring different religions, she found her path to the mat seeking a spiritual connection.
The abundance of life tragedies, toxic lifestyle and a 10yr alcohol addiction lead to a deeper dive into herself.
Genipher began incorporating childhood Buddhism practices along with spiritual practices from other cultures.
She received her 200hr YTT in Rishikesh, India in April 2019.
She now completely leans on the Divine for intuitive knowledge and inspiration. She currently teaches yoga classes at several studios in CT & RI. Facilitates sacred Full Moon & Cacao Ceremonies, and a variety of workshops centered around coming back to your heart space.
Her deepest intention for each Yogi is to uplift one’s own soul & create a loving community for everyone to reach their highest Self.
When she is not on the mat or traveling you can find her outdoors with Mother Earth or tending to all her cats and 300 houseplants.

Stephanie Casillas has been fascinated with movement and meditation since the age of seven. She’s always been a kindred-spirit. Her in-studio journey began in 2000 as a form of stress management for college. She fancies herself a “vinyasa yogi gypsy”, however, her primary focus is in Ashtanga. Her methodology extrapolates aspects from all her favorite styles as well as her background in Nuclear Medicine. She uses her knowledge of human anatomy to create a comprehensive experience that will not only have your entire body feeling restored and revitalized, but you will also leave understanding the why aspect of a pose.
You can find her practicing anywhere along the Connecticut shoreline to studios in downtown Providence, RI. She completed her 200hr. training at Hot on Bank in Mystic, CT in 2021. She is a proud mother of one. Yoga has been the perfect opportunity to explore curiosities about herself, connect with daughter, and become a more compassionate person for her community. In her class you will find a supportive space to observe the mind and body. Her goal is to offer safe, accessible postures to help deepen your practice and (most importantly) have fun!

Yoga has impacted every area of Laura’s life positively since she started practicing almost 20 years ago. As a recent 200hr YTT graduate, Laura has found a true passion for Yin Yoga and she enjoys deepening her studies and practice in this area. Yin requires us to be still, to surrender into the discomfort and find peace there. She enjoys curating soulful playlists to correspond with the passiveness yin offers and allows the body (and mind) to truly melt into each pose.

Alex discovered yoga while she was in college! She was lost, not taking care of herself well, struggling with anxiety and depression. Her roommate invited her to try yoga with her in their apartment. She agreed, reluctantly and is so grateful she did. Not long after practicing for the first time, Alex wandered into a yoga studio walking distance from her parent’s home, signed up for the new client special and her life changed. After a year of practice, she felt compelled to sign up for yoga teacher training knowing that yoga had changed her life for the better and was something that needed to be shared. Alex completed her certification in 2016 under the guidance of Annie Q and Kimberly Charbonneau with the intention to serve her community and share the transformative practice of yoga. She immediately started working in studios across Connecticut. Since then, Alex has continued her professional development by completing many more modules and certifications with Amy Ippoilti, Petra Haynes, and Lara Heimann. For Alex, yoga is a meditative movement practice designed not just to create space, and strength in the body, but in the mind as well. Her classes link breath to movement with an emphasis on mobility and strength. Expect to move, sweat and surprise yourself!

When I was 24 years old, I discovered this way of life, it saved me really. I was on a self destructive path and dealing with debilitating arthritis every day. As a mom of two young children, something had to change. I tried changing my diet, I tried traditional exercise, I tried doctors and medications. Nothing was helping. Then I tried yoga. There was something different about this approach to wellness. Yoga didn't address any symptoms but rather taught me how to approach my own wellness through a complete system. I learned to look at myself physically, mentally, and emotionally; my entire energetic make up had been shifted through regular practice, which doesn't always have to be on a mat in a Yoga studio. I never saw myself walking this path but looking back now, it makes so much sense. It was exactly what I needed. I knew very early on that spreading this love I had found was my true calling. What that looks like has transformed over the last 14 years. I find yoga everywhere; In my developing patience and trust that my garden will grow, in raising my children to be aware of their breath and to develop a life filled with self love and self care, and in teaching Asana and Bhakti to anyone who finds themselves in need of some spiritual maintenance and community.
I can't wait to meet you, no matter what leg of the journey you're on.
