When I was 24 years old, I discovered this way of life, it saved me really. I was on a self destructive path and dealing with debilitating arthritis every day. As a mom of two young children, something had to change. I tried changing my diet, I tried traditional exercise, I tried doctors and medications. Nothing was helping. Then I tried yoga. There was something different about this approach to wellness. Yoga didn't address any symptoms but rather taught me how to approach my own wellness through a complete system. I learned to look at myself physically, mentally, and emotionally, my entire energetic make up had been shifted through regular practice, which doesn't always have to be on a mat in a Yoga studio. I never saw myself walking this path but looking back now, it makes so much sense, it was exactly what I needed. I knew very early on that spreading this love I had found was my true calling. What that looks like has transformed over the last 12 years. I find yoga everywhere; In my developing patience and trust that my garden will grow, in raising my children to be aware of their breath and to develop a life filled with self love and self care, and in teaching Asana and Bhakti to anyone who finds themselves in need of some spiritual maintenance and community.
I can't wait to meet you, no matter what leg of the journey you're on.
